Medicinska fakulteten bevarar idag den så kallade Bromanska samlingen vid Arkivcentrum Syd. Samlingen är en rest från medicinsk forskning på 1920–50-talen och består av konserverade foster och fullgångna spädbarn. Gabriel Börner spelade hellre flipperspel än pluggade på gymnasiet och kom därför inte in på läkarlinjen. Idag är han överläkare i kirurgi på Helsingborgs lasarett och forskare vid Lunds universitet. Han har uppfunnit en ”symaskin” för att sy ihop patienter efter en bukoperation. Även om vägen dit var längre än han hade kunnat föreställa sig, har han haft väldigt roligt.
